"PLANTATIONS"

We hope you would like to come and enjoy a meal here in the foothills of Mt. Batukaru at about 700m above sea level. Mt. Batukaru itself is 2,276m.

The restaurant with it's magnificent views from rice fields and rainforest to glimpses of the ocean, not only caters for our in-house guests but has an extensive menu for those travelers who wish to just take in the scenery for a lunch-time break. The road from the south of the island through to the north upon which we are situated boasts the finest views of Bali's famed rice terraces and mountainous terrain. Even if you are just touring the area, a fine dining experience awaits you at PLANTATIONS

Our kitchen staff are local and most have been trained in international hotels and restaurants. They have chosen to come back to their village to be with their families. Most of the kitchen staff in the tourist areas are not allowed much initiative. We, however, have chosen to give them a relatively free hand and they have all lived up to the challenge and have been heavily involved in the preparation of the menu. They take enormous pride in the presentation of the meals and will not be hurried, as to them cooking is an art form.

All our lettuces, asparagus, herbs and mushrooms are locally grown and our coffee is from our own trees or from local growers. Our ice is made from bottled water.
